My rating: 7 out of 10

There is a lot of technology out there that is made by Google and it is great. It is always changing just like all technology and new smartphones are always being released. The Google Pixel 4 is a great smartphone with a nice looking design with a fresh look and feel that is easy to use and navigate. Some people say that it is a better phone than the Samsung Galaxy S10 but I don’t think it is. Although it is one of the best smartphones out there on the market today with many great features.

There is a lot of advanced technology in this smartphone with a lot of great and exciting features. Today I will be discussing the Google Pixel 4 and helping you decide if it is something that you might want. It has a google assistant and is a very useful and helpful phone that many people will want to have. It can handle simple tasks and heavy tasks easily and quickly and the battery will still last a good amount of time. It may not be a full day on a single charge but it will last most of the day.

Overview

The Google Pixel 4 is a great phone with a nice design and fresh look and feel. It has 5.7 inch P-OLED touchscreen display that is always on. It has a 16 megapixel dual camera with a dual LED flash and 2160p as well as 1080p HD video recording. The phone also has an 8 megapixel front facing camera with 1080p HD video recording. It has 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB internal storage depending on which one you choose which is not expandable as there is no Micro SD card slot.

The Google Pixel 4 is powered by Android 10 meaning it has the latest apps and software updates as well as security features and will easily receive future updates. There is a loudspeaker but there is no headphone jack. There are connectivity features including WiFi, Tethering, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, USB 3.1, USB Type C reversible connector, Face ID, compass, barometer and an accelerometer. There is also the ability to create a WiFi hotspot for sharing mobile data.

Benefits Of The Google Pixel 4

There are many benefits to using the Google Pixel 4 starting with the screen. The large screen size is great for entertainment and it has a high resolution that is clear and easy to see. The cameras are high quality and produce excellent pictures making the phone great for photography purposes. The phone is updated with the latest apps and software as well as the latest features and technology meaning you will have access to the latest updates and your phone will also be secured.

The battery will last a full day on a single charge even with heavy tasks it will last most of the day. Apps run fast and smoothly and the phone performs well. Checking email, web browsing, using social media and other internet related tasks are fast and run smoothly. The google assistant works well and does what it should do with no effort quickly and easily and charging speed is decent. Fast charging as well as wireless charging is supported and 4G speeds are supported as well.

Where To Buy

The Google Pixel 4 is available in carriers like Telstra, Optus and Vodafone as well as in post offices and electronic stores. It is also available online from many different places like ebay, amazon, kogan and more. If you buy the phone in a carrier it will be locked to that network and it will also be locked to a certain network if you buy it in a post office or electronic store. But if you buy it online from a place like ebay, amazon or kogan it will be unlocked and you won’t have to pay an unlocking fee.

There are month to month plans available for the phone in carriers but they are differ in price. The plans all include data and the cheapest plan available starts from $69 per month. If you buy the phone outright from a carrier it will cost you a lot of money. I recommend that you buy the phone online because it is cheaper and will save you money. The phone will also come unlocked and ready to use with any sim card from any carrier without any problems or limitations. There are bring your own phone plans available for the phone in carriers including data starting from $15 per month.

Is The Google Pixel 4 For Me?

The Google Pixel 4 is a great phone but it does have it`s positives and negatives like all other smartphones. To start with it`s large screen size is great for games and entertainment and the high quality cameras are great for photography purposes. The phone looks great and feels great. It is easy to use and navigate with fast speeds and performances including fast internet speeds. Videos are also high quality and fast charging and wireless charging are both supported by the phone.

The downsides though start with the radio because there is no radio making it a bad choice if you are looking for something with a radio. There is no headphone jack meaning which is something a lot of people need and want. There is no ultra wide camera even though other phones like this one have them and there is limited market availability in some places. Some phones have better performance than this phone and there is no fingerprint scanner meaning you can’t use apps that need fingerprint scanning and you can’t use fingerprint unlocking on your phone which is annoying for some people.

Conclusion

The Google Pixel 4 is a great smartphone all in with a lot of great features. It`s large screen size makes it great for games and entertainment and the high quality cameras make it great for photography purposes. The phone has a nice design and looks and feels great. It is fast and reliable with fast internet speeds and fast charging as well as wireless charging are supported. There is no radio or headphone jack making it a bad choice if you are looking for something with a radio. The internal storage cannot be expanded because there is no Micro SD card slot. There is no ultra wide camera and there is limited market availability in some places. There is no fingerprint scanner which is annoying for some users because they can’t use apps that need fingerprint scanning or fingerprint unlocking on their phone. There are many plans available in carriers for the phone but the cheapest place to buy the phone is online and it will come unlocked. I hope that you enjoyed this review. A smartphone is just a means to an end for me, there is no way I would pay that kind of price for a handset, no matter how magnificent it might be. Is the price in Australian or USA dollars by the way? Most websites use American currency by default, so if yours is different, you should make this obvious at the top of the review.

Thank you for your comment Simon! I would not pay that much for a smartphone either unless I was rich! But there are many people that would! I see people all the time with the latest phones and they power $80-$100 or more per month for their phone or buying a phone outright for $800 or more even over $1000! The currency on my website is in Australian dollars because my affiliate program is with eBay Australia! At the top of my reviews there is the link to eBay Australia and when you follow the link to eBay it says the price and the currency which is AUD! Thank you again for your comment Simon!

Thank you for this review of the Pixel 4. I am in the US and currently have the Pixel 3 phone. While it is a nice phone, I do not think I will upgrade to the Pixel 4 after reading your review. At least not until I do a bit more research. I found your review well written and informative. I look forward to reading about some of the other phones and comparing them. Thanks
