When looking for a new phone there are always so many options to choose from and many phones with fancy features that you may never use. Phones can be quite expensive these days but there are always options out there that won’t break your bank account and will save you a lot of money. Too many people say you need the latest phone because it has a lot of cool features but you don’t need the latest expensive phone just to get day to day tasks done.

There are plenty of options out there that will suit your everyday needs that don’t cost a lot of money. When looking for a new phone I always look for something that has the features I want but is the cheapest available. I like to spend around $200 to $300 on a phone but nothing more. There are also some good options out there that are under $200 and they still work fine and get day to day tasks done. In this article I`m going to discuss 5 budget phones you should buy in 2022.

Alcatel T 5033T

The Alcatel T 5033T is a decent smartphone with lots of features. It has a camera, video camera, radio, voice recorder, gallery, file explorer, app store, internet browser, a google assistant and more. It is great for users who don’t need much features on their smartphone and just want a camera, internet browsing and apps. You can access the internet through WiFi or mobile data and there is also the ability to create a mobile WiFi hotspot to share your mobile data with other devices.

There is also Bluetooth and tethering options available and the internet speed is great and reliable. The app store is the google play store which runs nicely and provides thousands of apps that you can download. The Alcatel T 5033T has a 5 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera and also 1080p video recording. The phone has 1GB
of RAM and 8GB internal storage. This is expandable up to 32GB with a Micro SD card. A flashlight and headphone jack are also available.

As you can see the Alcatel T 5033T is decent smartphone that works fine for day to day tasks. I still use one as a main phone each day. The display is a bit dim and there is some noticeable lag when opening apps but other than that it is quite a good phone that doesn’t cost a lot fo money to buy and is available in a lot of shops and online.

The 50 megapixel rear camera is really good but struggles in low light. The phone also has an 8 megapixel front facing camera. It also has a 2 megapixel Macro Camera and a 2 megapixel depth sensor. The phone comes with either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage depending on which model you choose. This is expandable up to 512GB with a Micro SD card. The phones runs games quite well and can can handle big games to. It`s also quite fast when there is no lag opening apps.

Overall the Moto G Power 2022 is a great budget phone aside from it`s dim display, lighting issues and lag when opening apps it`s a great phone for it`s price. The 64GB model costs $200 and the 128GB model costs $250. This can be slightly more depending on where you buy the phone. It can be found in a lot of phone stores as well as in other retails stores and in many places online.

Nokia 6.2

The Nokia 6.2 has a modern design and is fast and snappy. It gets the job done and has an excellent rear camera making it worth the money. There are occasional hiccups and the front facing camera is poor quality. But other than that it has some pretty good features. It has a 6.3 inch IPS LCD touchscreen display with a 16 megapixel triple rear camera and 8 megapixel front camera. The phone also has a flash and 1080p HD video recording which looks great and is high quality.

The Nokia 6.2 has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is expandable using a Micro SDXC card. It is an Android One powered smartphone and is powered by Android 9,0. There is a loudspeaker, headphone jack and an FM radio. Connectivity features on the phone include WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, tethering, GPS, NFC, USB 2.0, USB Type C reversible connector, USB on the go, accelerometer, compass and a rear mounted fingerprint scanner and accessibility features.

Overall the Nokia 6.2 is a great budget phone aside from it`s long charge time, poor quality front facing camera and occasional hiccups and shutters in performance. It`s a great option if you are looking for something cheap and affordable. The phone costs $200 but can be a bit more depending on where you buy the phone from. IPhone 5

The iPhone 5 has a nice design and it is a nice looking phone. It has 4 inch IPS LCD touchscreen display with a good resolution that is clear and easy to see. It has an 8 megapixel rear camera with a flash and 1080p HD video recording. There is also a 1.2 megapixel front facing camera with 720p video recording and also FaceTime and face detection. The battery life will last a full day on a single charge with simple tasks like calls and texts and even with internet usage and heavy tasks.

The iPhone 5 is powered by ios 6 and it is upgradable to ios 10.3.3. It has 1GB of RAM and 16GB, 32GB or 64GB internal storage depending on which one you choose. The internal storage is not expandable because it has no Micro SD card slot. There is a loudspeaker and headphone jack and connectivity features including WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, mobile hotspot for data sharing, GPS, USB 2.0, USB proprietary reversible connector, compass, accelerometer and Siri commands and dictations.

Overall the iPhone is a great budget phone and works well. Aside from it`s small display, lack of NFC, FM radio, USB mass storage and support for only nano Sims it`s a good phone. Apple maps doesn’t work too well on this phone either and the audio is mono only. You can also only use iTunes to load content because of it`s lack of USB mass storage. But if you can live with these drawbacks it`s a great option for you.

The iPhone 5 costs $100 to $150 depending on where you buy the phone and if it is new, used or refurbished. It can be found often online but it`s not available in phone stores or retail stores anymore.

Samsung Galaxy A20

The Samsung Galaxy A20 has a 6.4 inch AMOLED display with a 1560×720 resolution. The phone`s colours and brightness are solid and it has a dark mode for when you are using it at night. It has a 13 megapixel and a 5 megapixel rear camera. It also has an 8 megapixel front facing camera. The cameras are really good and take great phones. Video recording is in 1080p and also looks really good. It`s not as good as the latest phones but it still really great.

The Samsung Galaxy A20 has 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which is expandable up to 512GB with a Micro SD card. The battery lasts all day and charges quickly. A full charge takes about 2 hours. There is also Bluetooth 5.0 and a headphone jack. The performance of the phone is average and runs quite well. But if you try to open or use more than one app at a time there is lag. This also happens if you try and switch between apps. This is due to the lower quality budget range chipset that powers the phone.

Overall the Samsung Galaxy A20 is a great budget phone aside from it`s lag and performance issues when opening more than one app at a time or switching apps. The phone is easily scratched and there is also no wireless charging on the phone. If you buy the phone I recommend you buy a case for it to avoid it being scratched as easily. But aside from these issues it`s a great phone with a great price that`s cheap and affordable meaning it could be the right option for you.

It doesn’t matter if you don’t have the fancy features of the latest phones your phone will still work fine for your needs. I always look for the cheapest phones available with features I want and the budget phones I discussed in this article are all under cheap and affordable.

The phones all have good displays and run well. They have good storage options and good cameras. The phones all have decent battery life and will all get your day to day tasks done. The phones are cheap starting from $100 and the most expensive one is $250 to $300 depending on where you buy it and if it is on sale or not. Whichever phone you choose it will be a great budget phone and will get your day to day task done.
